Today was a truly fantastic day for Starling’s culinary and Memory Care teams! Chefs and Memory Care directors from all seven Starling communities gathered at US Foods for a day filled with collaboration, innovation, and team building.
The focus of the event was to enhance Memory Care snack menus and introduce new items into our overall menu for the upcoming spring/summer cycle. By exploring fresh options from the US Foods inventory, our teams are working to elevate the dining experience for our residents.
Starling Chief Operating Officer Megan Kennedy shared her excitement about the event, stating: "Today was amazing! I am so proud of the seven dream teams who came today. Our residents will really benefit from this event. The best day ever!"
The day ended with an exciting cooking showdown, where teams put their skills to the test. Competing head-to-head were:
Team 1: Starling at Nocatee IL, The Grove at Canopy, The Grove at Countryside, and Starling at Ponte Vedra
Team 2: Starling at Nocatee AL, Starling at San Jose, and The Grove at Trelago
Both teams crafted delicious, creative dishes, showcasing the talent and passion that make Starling’s dining programs exceptional.
We can’t wait to see how these new ideas and menu enhancements will be brought back to each of our communities. Days like this reaffirm our commitment to excellence in dining, Memory Care, and resident well-being.
