Here at Starling, we are committed to providing the best possible care for all of our residents. And that’s why we are strongly encouraging residents and staff members at all of our locations to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Last month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that it recommends that initial supplies of COVID-19 vaccine be allocated to healthcare personnel and long-term care facility residents. This is referred to as Phase 1a.
Because of this, we are happy to announce that in the next two weeks, there will be clinics for all properties. January 13, January 19, and January 21 are our first rounds. We then will have a second clinic 21 days later, and a third 21 days later.
We believe the vaccine will help us keep up with our commitment to the health and safety for all residents. According to the CDC, it’s very important for healthcare personnel and residents of long-term care facilities to be vaccinated.
The COVID-19 vaccine is being released by federal, state, and local health authorities. Because COVID-19 is a new disease with new vaccines, you may have questions about what happens before, during, and after your appointment to get vaccinated.

Both Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines include a series of two vaccinations. The initial vaccination provides about 55% of coverage, and the booster shot – which follows 21-28 days later – boosts immunity to 94-95%. Please visit the official CDC website for the most up-to-date information on the COVID-19 vaccines.
Our Starling properties will continue to follow proper social distancing and PPE procedures even after vaccination. CLICK HERE to read an article we published about our response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
