Starling has landed on the first-ever U.S. News and World Report “Best Senior Living” list, which designates senior living communities as “best” in several categories. In addition, Starling at Nocatee Independent Living was named “Best Independent Living” community in the Jacksonville market.
U.S. News & World Report, a media company known for its news, rankings and consumer advice, published its 2022-23 “Best Senior Living” list in early May 2022. Communities that received the “best” ranking include independent living, assisted living, memory care and continuing care retirement communities across the country.
“Our team members constantly strive to provide excellence in all they do on a daily basis,” said Starling Chief Operating Officer Megan Kennedy. “We’re always there to help our residents pursue their passions, enjoy a gourmet meal, take on a new activity or get to their doctor’s appointments on time. We aim to make a difference every day, and this recognition highlights the exceptional senior living services we provide."
Senior living operators participated in a consumer satisfaction survey from Activated Insights between March 2021 and April 2022. Around 2,500 senior living communities met the criteria and U.S. News and World Report recognized 1,270 as “best."
“Families have limited information when comparing providers of independent living, assisted living, memory care or continuing care,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis for U.S. News. “The Best Senior Living ratings help to fill this information gap with comprehensive and transparent data to help older consumers and their families identify high-quality senior living communities that meet their needs and preferences."
Starling’s mission is to provide the finest professional service in an exceptional environment to ensure our residents experience an extraordinary lifestyle full of unmatched convenience and vitality.
