Starling at Nocatee Partners with K4Connect for Smart Technologies and Community Engagement
When Starling at Nocatee opens in Fall 2017, it will have been the first senior living community in the region to partner with K4Connect. K4Connect’s technology will create a simpler, healthier, and happier environment for the community’s residents.
Starling at Nocatee will utilize K4Connect technology to create a “connected home” environment for participating residents. This aspect of the platform allows residents to manage daily tasks, such as turning lights on or off and regulating the thermostat, even when away from their rooms.
The technology will also be used for its proprietary social interaction programs, powered by smart devices, to enhance communication between residents, families, and staff. The social aspect of K4Connect’s technology, on the same easy-to-use platform as the “connected home”, allows residents to participate in health tracking and monitoring, community engagement, brain fitness, photo sharing and video chats with loved ones, and more.
K4Connect was founded by Scott Moody, the founder of the company acquired by Apple and now the fingerprint sensor technology feature utilized in iPhones. The company selected Starling at Nocatee as its first partner in the region to implement the technology due to a shared forward vision. Its implementation is just one step toward creating vibrant lifestyles for Starling at Nocatee residents.
