What are some of your favorite things to do with residents?

One of my favorite things to do with our residents is to enjoy music. Music is a universal language that touches each resident in some way. I strive to bring a variety of music programs to our community, and our residents love listening, singing along, and dancing. You can see and feel the energy we create. Some other favorite activities in the community include various card games, dominoes, and bingo. In addition, we enjoy craft projects, exercising, and an array of trivia games.

What does a day in your life at Starling at San Jose look like?

A day in my life at Starling involves greeting our residents, encouraging participation in the daily activities, planning future programs, and assisting residents with just about anything they need to make their day a little better.

If you weren’t working in senior living, what would you be doing?

If I wasn’t working in senior living, I would likely still be working in a field where I could help people make a difference in their lives. Most likely, that would be in the field of health and fitness. Fitness is a personal passion, and I enjoy sharing that with others.
